Rubber Stamps

 

Supplies Needed:

  • Small wooden squares (one per child)
  • Rubber Sheets and Pieces
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Ink (various colors)
  • Paper
  • Colored pens or pencils

 

Instructions:

  • Copy the shapes from handout and trace them onto sheet rubber, a foam meat tray, or craft foam. Carefully cut out the shapes.
  • Place a shape on one block of wood, and glue it into place using white glue. Allow it to dry thoroughly.
  • Ink shape stamps on an ink pad, and stamp shapes on paper. Use the stamps to decorate cards, posters, placemats, or signs.

 

Suggestions:

  • Create encouragement cards/posters to give to friends and family members.
  • Have children write messages to the recipient using the colored pens/pencils.
