What's Unique About Footsteps Mission Trips?
- Footsteps trips are designed to complement the work
of local churches. Oftentimes churches would like to have
short-term mission opportunities but have difficultly
finding someone with the experience or the time to
effectively lead the trip. Footsteps has the expertise to
provide all the necessary organization and leadership to
equip your group and ensure a well planned trip.
- Churches do not directly bear the cost for using
Footsteps services. Footsteps covers its costs by
donations and by including its costs in the price paid by
participants.
- Footsteps Missions will set up mission opportunities
aimed at the ministries or missions which the local
church most wants to help. Your church or organization
can choose the mission or missionary it most wants to
serve. Footsteps will work directly with the selected
ministry to determine a strategy that will best assist
them in their operations.
- Footsteps places great emphasis on being sensitive to
the local foreign ministry. We cherish the opportunity to
fellowship and work alongside our missionary friends, but
also want to leave knowing that they have significantly
benefited from our time spent with them. As a result, we
will not take missionaries away from their vital work by
using them as "tour guides," but instead focus on helping
them with the challenges they face in furthering their
mission.
- Footsteps endeavors to have our work be of lasting
significance. This emphasis leads us to take every
opportunity to train nationals to be active and ongoing
participants in ministry.
- Footsteps trips are designed to be relational. A
large part of a Footsteps trip is working hand-in hand
with the locals and missionaries from the field.
- Most importantly, Footsteps Trips are intended to
share the love of Christ in word and action. We strive to
be servants of Christ.
